I’ve always wanted to get a chin implant to correct my receded chin but opted for fillers, radiesse specifically, instead. The first time I got radiesse in my chin I only used 0.8cc and I thought it looked great, but about a month later my chin looked the same again. I just got radiesse in my chin again, this time 1.5cc and I loved the results immediately after but two days later my chin looks almost the same as before again. I don’t understand why the fillers are not lasting?
Hi and thank you for your question! It is hard to tell based on the pictures given the low resolution and different lighting/angle/background and ideally we use pictures taken at clinic with same background and lighting for more accurate comparison. However, it is extremely unlikely that your Radiesse has gone so quickly and it is most likely still there. What happens is that during the first day after the injection as there is swelling, patients see more volume and as the swelling goes down in the first 1-2 weeks, the volume goes down and many patients thinks that their filler has gone away although it is not filler but the swelling that has gone. The fact the you really liked the results during the first few days (when swelling was active) is a strong indication that you will most likely need more filler and will be pleased with the results of additional injections in chin. I hope it helps and good luck!
