Are there any lasers that help with resurfacing and collagen stimulation that will NOT affect tattoos?

  Hi and thank you for your question! Unfortunately there is no skin-resurfacing laser that is "color-blind" and there is always some risk of altering tattoos when lasering over them and hence we generally avoid tattoos. We do use other lasers (e.g. in SculpSure) that pass through the skin without being absorbed by it much but those lasers are not used for skin resurfacing and their applications are different. There are other collagen stimulating treatments that are highly effective and are considered "color-blind" as they are not laser-based. Examples include Ultherapy and RF-needling. Even with these treatments, you need to discuss it with your provider to make sure your tattoos are not going to be affected. I hope it helps and food luck!
