Perlane in tear troughs 19 months ago and in cheeks 8 months ago. Now I have puffy bags under my eyes.
A patient asked 7 years ago The puffy bags are on my bone line. Will getting it dissolved fix the bags? I am trying to get rid of the cheek filler as she injected quite close to my nose so when I smile I have chipmunk cheeks. I have just been massaging that area in the hope of getting rid of it faster. Although when I massage my cheek area on each side of my nose the puffy bags seem to increase in size until I gently put pressure on them. Please help. Anyone skilled in dissolving in Australia, Western Australia or Sydney?

Hi and thank you for your question! Injection of fillers in the cheeks and under eyes requires a particularly high level of skill. Fortunately, hyaluronic acid fillers such as Perlane (now Restylane Lyft) are quite forgiving and it is easy to revise them with injection of hyaluronidase. For under eyes and tear troughs, I recommend "thinner" fillers such as Belotero or Restylane Silk as they tend to blend better and have more uniform results.
