Hollowness around eyes due to Botox or Voluma? What should I do?

10 days ago I went to a new dermatologist to address a few signs of aging. I received 60 units of botox which I thought was high (I'm 37), a syringe of voluma (cheekbones) and a syringe of juvaderm (nasolabial folds). The voluma looks a bit too harsh to me, not soft or feminine. It's ok when I'm not smiling, but when I smile, I look like a chipmunk and have puffiness and hollow areas. I received 2 units of botox under each eye. Could my weird smile be from botox or voluma? What should I do?

Hollowness around Eyes Following Botox

Report Hi and thank you for your question! First, Botox injection is not expected to cause hollowness, but are you sure it was injected under your eyes and not in the crows' feet area? Regardless, hollowness under the eyes require treatment with filler injection under the eyes and from your description it doesn't seem that you received any filler in that area. It is possible that treatment in other areas made the hollowness under eyes more prominent and noticeable. Not that the hollowness necessarily grew, but as other issues in face are addressed, we tend to notice remaining issues more. I highly recommend that you do a follow up with your doctor so that all concerns are addressed. I hope it helps and good luck!
