I have lot of cellulite on my outer thighs. What can be done? I do lots of cardio and lift weights so I’m hoping something else out there can help!

Treatment for Cellulite

Hi and thank you for your question! You are doing the best by exercising and sticking to healthy life style but despite doing this all, cellulite might still occur. There are quite a few FDA-cleared treatment options for Cellulite and the best options are the ones that can address both underlying causes of cellulite - excessive local fat and break-down of collagen strands. You will see that most physicians will make recommendations based on the systems they have worked with and they have experience with so don't be surprised to hear many different recommendations here. In general, as long as the treatment is FDA-cleared, it should be ok, and also, as is the case with most energy-based treatment, the results emerge gradually and for best results, a series of treatments are usually needed. At our clinic, we primarily use Venus Freeze for cellulite which combines radiofrequency with magnetic pulsing and it reduces fat while stimulating new collagen. Most patients see good results after 6-8 sessions. I hope it helps and good luck!
