My doctor told me it’s best not to touch the chin area because it’s more prone to infection, but it looks a bit too pointy for me. Should I wait until the swelling goes down before I judge or should I try to adjust it while it’s still malleable? I wanted an anterior projection with more of a squarish chin from the frontal view. The profile view looks fine, but when I’m looking down it appears too pointy head on.

Radiesse in Chin

Hi and thank you for your question! While we can make some reshaping and adjustment right after injection of filler, manipulating it later on is less likely to reshape it. I wouldn't be concerned with infection, but one think to keep in mind is that if you just had the injection done, you are most likely still experiencing some swelling which can affect the results and what you see know is not necessarily the final look. I suggest you allow more time for the swelling to go down and then by 2 weeks after the injection if you are not happy with the results, do a follow up with your doctor. I hope it helps and good luck!
