Lasting Effects of Filler and Hylenex
Hi and thank you for your question! As you know, hyaluronic acid is naturally present in our skin and is the primary component of the extra cellular matrix responsible for retaining water in the skin. When we inject hyaluronidase (Hylenex) to dissolve filler, it might also act on naturally present hyaluronic acid in the skin and dissolve part of that as well. This being said, the natural hyaluronic acid in our skin is not constant and it also undergoes remodeling all the time with new hyaluronic acid made and old molecules degraded. As we age, this remodeling slows down with a net negative effect on overall volume on our face. However in your case, since the filler and enzyme treatments were so recent, I won't be worried much and the I recommend that you allow more time for your skin to reach a balance. At that time, we can always do some new filler injections to correct any remaining issues. I hope it helps and good luck!
