I never experienced such pain. He pushed the cannula through the tissue in my lower lips because it was kind of stuck and he had to push it through really hard. He told me it's because I fell on my lips several times before and I have knots in my lips because of this, but next time he will give me stronger local anaesthetics that he will have to inject deeper. I want bigger lips, now there's barely any difference. But at the same time I'm scared to death to have lip fillers again in my lower lip

Pain When Doing Lip Injection

Hi and thank you for your question! Any prior trauma can cause scar tissue inside the lips and that could make future treatment a bit more difficult/painful as your doctor needs to pass the cannula through the scar tissues. However, we can minimize any pain and discomfort with numbing and in your case, switching from topical numbing to stronger options such as nerve block can help. I hope it helps and good luck!
