Swollen Bruised Lips after Augmentation

Hi and thank you for your question! Despite their disturbing appearance, bruising and swelling are common following filler injections and they might happen even at hands of most experienced injectors. Ice packs following injection can help reducing bruising and swelling. The next day after injection is typically the time the swelling is at its worse and from then swelling and bruising are expected to gradually get better and they are expected to completely dissolved on their own within 2 weeks of injection. If any bruising or swelling persists beyond two weeks, if they get worse, or if other signs or symptoms such as heat or tenderness are added, you should do an immediate follow up with your physician otherwise there shouldn't be any concerns. I hope it helps and good luck!
