Can lip filler be dissolved years after?
A patient asked 7 years ago I have had poor filler done in my lips (done very shallow, leaving me with visible lumping, asymmetry and coverage of my upper-teeth). I used to have very nice tooth-show, but due to the misplaced filler, I have a draping effect over the teeth next to my two front teeth. Can this be dissolved and refilled along the vermilion border for a "lifting" effect? I am certain I am an anomaly and it is filler still, I bit my lip once and a gel substance came out. It was restylane and juvederm in my lips

Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last from 6 months (Juvederm Ultra plus/Restylane Lyft) to around two years (Juvederm Voluma), so depending on the exact type of Juvederm or Restylane you received and the time passed, the issues you are experiencing could be related to previous filler or unrelated. If this is indeed the filler that is causing it, it can be easily dissolved using hyaluronidase. It would be best to do a follow up with your injector or see an experienced cosmetic doctor for an evaluation.
