2 1/2 weeks after Juverdurm Vollure in lips and my lips are still uneven and bumpy, will this get any better?
A patient asked 7 years ago It's been 18 days after I got 1 syringe of Juverdurm Vollure. My top and bottom lips are still lumpy and my top lip is uneven. It's like I'm missing a chunk out of the right side of my top lip. I still have two bluish gray lumps in the middle of my bottom lip. My injector told me to wait another 2 weeks since they can still be a little swollen and the filler still needs to settle. I'm starting to think that he fudged up on my injections and that it's not going to get any better. Help!

Hi and thank you for your question! Most swelling and bruising is expected to fully resolve within 2 weeks, but it is not totally unheard of for it to last a bit longer. If all you have is the lumpiness and unevenness of the results and there are no other signs or symptoms such as redness or tenderness, you might want to wait a bit longer. The good news is that hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvederm Vollure are very forgiving and can be easily revised and adjusted if needed following the injection.
