I’m 43 years old and about 105 pounds. My question is what is the best type of treatment for my cellulite? I don’t mind shape of my legs, I just want them smoother. I’m worried liposuction will only make my legs smaller and not make them smoother. Does liposuction help to smooth out legs or only make them smaller?? What is your opinion and which treatments do you suggest ? I’d like tighter skin and melting of fat deposits. Smooth legs, thighs and butt area. Thanks :)

Treatment for cellulite and loose skin

Hi and thank you for your question and pictures! Based on the pictures, you do not seem to have severe cellulite but we should still be able to help. When it comes to cellulite, there is really no "best" treatment. You will soon find that different providers offer difference advice, largely based on what systems/treatment they offer in their clinic and they are familiar with. That doesn't mean that the suggested treatments do not work, but when multiple different treatment modalities are available for a problem, it is usually an indicator that they all offer some improvements, but none is the ultimate answer. Going back to cellulite, here are the core issues: disrupted/broken collagen strands and excessive fat. Hence good treatments address both issues - reducing fat and stimulating new collagen formation. In my clinic I usually use Venus Freeze which is a radiofrequency/magnetic pulsing treatment and it stimulates collagen while reducing fat and many of my patients see good improvements after a series of 6-10 sessions. Venus is also a skin tightening treatment and it should help with your loose skin issue as well. I hope it helps and good luck!
