Best solution for my under eye problem?
A patient asked 7 years ago What is the best solution for my under eye problem? A doctor has told me I am not suitable for a lower blepharoplasty, rather 2-3 syringes of voluma or fat transfer. 1) do I really need that much filler, I am looking for an improvement, not a pillow face. 2) is fat transfer worth the risk? Please help! I hate this part of my face.....

Hi and thank you for your question! Obviously your doctor has the advantage of having seen you in person and examined you, so his/her recommendation is probably more accurate that ours here, but based on the pictures, I think you are a good candidate of volume restoration under your eyes for treatment of dark circles with fillers. For under the eyes, I generally recommend "smoother" fillers such as Restylane Silk, Volbella or Belotero as they blend much nice with the adjacent tissues. Also I would recommend starting lower, may be with 1 syringe. You can always add more if it's deemed necessary. My preferred technique for under the eye filler treatment (as well as most other areas) is cannula technique which often helps with better results and less bruising.
