Botox side effects? Do I have anything to fear?
A patient asked 5 years ago I am having botox on the 24th of June. However, I'm scared I will get an anaphylactic shock which can kill you. Also, I'm worried that the chemicals will shoot off in different directions in my body..?

Hi and thank you for your question! No medication is without side effects, but the issues you mentioned are not much of a concern with Botox. Cosmetic Botox has been around for many years and it is generally very safe when injected properly. This being said and at the end of the day, you need to be able to feel comfortable about the treatment you are about to get, so if it makes you feel so uncomfortable, maybe you can postpone it for now.
