Hello, A year ago I did a thread lift in the brows area, now I have an appointment to a brain CT test )checking migrans( they told me to take of any metal accessories like earrings, necklaces etc I also know that part of the Thread Lift procedure is inserting a small metal board. Am I allowed to do the brain CT?

CT Scan after Thread Lift

  Hi and thank you for your question! You should definitely discuss this with the facility that will be doing the CT scan and get clearance from their doctor, but in general, we are concerned with metal implants when doing MRI (given the strong magnetic field) while CT scans are generally safe with metal implants (although the implants will most likely be radiopaque, blocking the view of whatever is below or above it).
