I got lip fillers 5 days ago (1 syringe on the sides of my lips) I had a little of bruise on top of the side and it was a little bit swollen. Swollen is almost gone now but I can feel on the same side upper lip left part some lumps. I don’t know if it is just because it was swollen or if it's going to stay like that. I can feel it but when i have my lips close, nobody can notice it. It is more when I touch it or when I open my mouth. Is it normal?

Lumps after Lip Injection

Hi and thank you for your question! Yes, we typically ask patients to allow two weeks following any filler injections (including lip filler) for all the swelling to completely resolve. Many lumps and other aesthetic concerns during the first few days following fillers are simply related to the swelling and will go away on their own. As you approach the two-week period and if any lumps are still left, it would be time to do a follow up with your injector for a reassessment and possibly revision (which if needed, can be done easily with enzyme injection). I hope it helps and good luck!
