Does a Restylane Lyft only last 6 months?
A patient asked 7 years ago I am in my mid-40's with full face, barely any wrinkles, great skin. Only slight loss of volume at the temples, which I always had from the birth trauma. A reputable doctor quoted me $7,000 for a liquid facelift with Restylane Lyft, which will last only 6 months according to the doctor. Should I save my money until it's time for a surgical facelift down the road?

Hi and thank you for your question! In Liquid Facelift we use a combination of fillers and neuro modulators such as Botox to reverse the signs of aging. Unlike what many patients think, Liquid Facelift is not an alternative to surgical facelift since a surgical facelift cannot add volume - the hallmark of facial aging - and volume restoration with fillers is the key in any antiaging treatment. This being said, an effective and successful liquid facelift procedure requires treatment at various areas of the face including under the eyes, cheeks, temples, nasolabial folds, around the mouth, jawline, etc and for each area, there are fillers that are preferred (and there are fillers that should not be used). While Restylane Lyft might work well on some areas of face, we have fillers that work far betters in other areas and hence I rarely use just one type of filler for all parts of the face.
