My neck skin is starting to loosen under chin (more apparent in real life than in photo), and my jowls are starting to droop. The photo where I'm pulling up the skin along jawline and neck is all the improvement I'm hoping for. What course of action would be best for me? I hear about collagen tightening (non invasive) options, or should I consider a mini neck lift etc? I'm 40.
Hi and thank you for your question. Based on your pictures and description, you seem to be a good candidate for nonsurgical energy-based skin tightening treatments. There are many different modalities that use lasers, radiofrequency or ultrasound, but they mostly work by increasing the temperature of the target tissue, triggering body's natural healing response and stimulating new collagen. The choice of specific treatment to use comes down to your and your physician's preference as most FDA-cleared treatments offer some improvements. My own preference includes Venus Freeze (radiofrequency+magnetic pulsing) and Ultherapy (ultrasound). I hope it helps and good luck!
