How long do I have to wait before I can continue running after a liquid facelift. I had the procedure 2 days ago and even though I feel fine, I have very large hard lumps in my cheeks which are sore to touch. Is it safe to start running again because of this? I was told by my injector that running can move the filler so wait a couple of days which I have. Also how long does it take for the hardness to disappear? Thanks
Hi and thank you for your question! It is usually recommended to avoid exercise within 24 hours following the procedure. The large lumps that you feel are most likely swelling related to the procedure and the should gradually subside and completely resolve within 2 weeks and exercising and routine activity should not have much impact on them. If the lumps do not resolve after 2 weeks (or if you noticed any worsening or new signs/symptoms) you should contact your provider for follow up. I hope it helps and good luck!
