How long will 5 units of Botox take to wear off in upper forehead?
A patient asked 7 years ago I decided to try Botox in my upper forehead to test it out and I absolutely hate it. Doc only used 5 units. Will this last a full 3-4 months?

Hi and thank you for your question! I am sorry to hear that you didn't like the Botox injected in your forehead. While Botox injection has become a routine procedure, it still requires great skill and experience to ensure optimal results and working with highly experienced cosmetic physicians is always recommended. Botox typically lasts for a few months and while individual results may vary, it tend to wear off faster in areas with higher muscle activity. Also, the wearing off is gradual and it is not like an on-off switch, so if there are issues related to too much Botox, hopefully you will see improvements much sooner, possibly even within weeks. Lastly, while there is no antidote to Botox, it is important to remember that most muscles work in groups and they are balanced with each other. Hence, if a patient see undesirable effects with Botox injected in an area, experienced doctors can still offer some help by countering the effect of Botox through careful injection of Botox into other muscles that balance the involved muscles.
