How many ml of Radiesse is in one syringe?

A patient asked 7 years ago
I had a consultation today with a doctor that told me I would need at least 6mls of radiesse for both cheeks and my chin. I don't have any major wrinkles or anything, but I want some volume in my nasolabial fold area, cheekbones, and volume for a more prominent chin. I was thinking 6mls is a lot for a 23 year old (I have decent fat in my face)? For 6 mls, he was charging around 3,000 CAD. In this case, is 1 ml adequate to 1 syringe?

Size of Radiesse Filler

Hi and thank you for your question! Size of Radiesse syringes can be a bit confusing as I have seen first-hand at my own practice! Radiesse comes in 2 sizes: 0.8 cc and 1.5 cc, and some physicians may round up the 0.8 cc version and call it "1 cc". It is hard to tell what is the recommended amount in your case without seeing you but you listed several areas and for a patient who is getting fillers in so many areas it is not uncommon at all to need this much filler. A reputable and experienced cosmetic doctor is equally interested and motivated as you to achieve good results as we all hope and try our hardest to turn everyone into long-term patients who will become advocates of our practice. Hence, rather that focusing on the exact amount of the filler (while it is important), I recommend that you focus on the skill level and expertise of your doctor and develop a trusting partnership with your doctor to see the best results. I hope it helps and good luck!
