I had Restylane injections 5 days ago. I just wanted to plump up/out smokers lines. Now have lumps, and looking awful
A patient asked 7 years ago I went to a gp who I reaserched a lot, read a lot of reviews and saw a lot of pictures. I was very clear on what I wanted but I don’t like the results. I had bad swelling for 2 days. I’ve got lumps. My question is this, will they carry on going down or what I have now is the end result? Will massage work

Hi and thank you for your question! Since it only has been 5 days since your Restylane injection, it is too soon to judge the results and you most likely still have swelling in the deeper tissues which cases the lumps. Please allow two weeks from the day of the injection (and no massaging is necessary in this period) so all swelling is completely gone and by then if you have any concerns, do a follow up with your physician. What you are experiencing is very common and all or most issues go away as the swelling subsides in the vast majority of the patients, so don't worry for now.
