I recently got micro laser peel, subcision with a little bit of Bellafill in some areas that were treatable. Honestly, I only have seen a slight improvement with all of this. If I were to get a few sessions of microneedling, do you think this would eventually even out my face to then fill the acne scars with Bellafill? I’ve been struggling for so long and it’s been affecting me more and more everyday at 21. Sometimes it feels like there’s no hope for my face. Thank you for your help.

Treatment for Deep Pitted Ice Pick Acne Scars

Hi and thank you for your question! All the treatments you mentioned (microneedling, laser and filler) can help with acne scarring. However, for deep/pitted scars, the main treatment is usually injection of fillers such as Bellafill. Additionally, you mentioned micro laser peel, but the laser peel can be done with a number of lasers (e.g. Erbium) and generally speaking for acne scars, the most effective laser treatment is Fractional CO2 laser. For best results, a series of treatments is recommended. I hope it helps and good luck!
