If I had augmentation of the angle of the jaw with bellafil will this augmented tissue, after twenty or thirty years, start to sag down beneath the jaw line? Will my bellafill enhanced soft tissue descend with age and give me a hound dog appearance?

Long-term Outcome of Bellafill

Hi and thank you for your question! Bellafill is known as the 5-year filler since in the study used in getting the FDA approval, patients were followed up for 5 years and significant results were seen in many. Being a stimulatory filler, it is quite likely that some patients continue to see results lasting way beyond 5 years, although individual results may vary. In your case, please bear in mind that aging is an ongoing process and 20 or 30 years is just too many years to be able to predict where your filler will be standing related to the rest of the face. Aging process never stops, and for best results, I always recommend that patients engage into a long-term partnership with an experienced doctor that they prefer and work with the doctor over the years to come. I hope is helps and good luck!
