I'm in my 30's and I have acne since I was a teenager. I've been to dermatologist, and I had done IPL twice, as well as blue light therapy, and countless medications, but nothing works for me. My dermatologist suggested me to do Fraxel, to treat both acne and acne scars, (he only offer IPL at his place), and I would like to know what's the best options for my skin that would provides permanent results Thank you! -i'm asian. -Get acne around my chin n jawline, minor breakout on my back and chest

Hi and thank you for your question! I agree with your dermatologist recommendation that Fraxel can be a good treatment to address both the acne scarring and enlarged pores. Please keep in mind that Fraxel is the brand name of a Fractional CO2 laser and there are several other models and brands of fractional CO2 laser available that meet the clearance requirements of FDA/Health Canada and you can look for providers that offer other variants of this laser as well.
