Hi, I am a 20 year old female and in the past I have had bad acne on the cheek area of my face. I have been on antibiotics and have had up to 9 blue/yellow led light therapies. Although no there is no active acne, there is still scarring. I was advised to get dermaneedling done at a clinic, however I just want to make sure that it was safe and whether or not I was too young for it or not?
Hi and thank you for your question! The age is not really a factor in deciding whether micro-needling is appropriate. The main issue is to make sure the acne is adequately controlled and there is no active acne issue anymore which seems to be the case for you. As long as the acne is controlled and you scarring is not still red/inflamed, you can go ahead with micro-needling. I hope it helps and good luck!
