A few months ago I started toying with some facial exercise. Long story short, my previously small, heartshaped face is completely inverted/altered. My question is, could something like botox be used to relax/shrink selected muscles in the cheeks and jaw/mouth? I wouldn't even mind some temporary paralysis/ unorthodox injection sites since I will not be recreating the original circumstances ever again.
Hi and thank you for your question! As you mentioned, Botox can be used to reduce the bulk of masseter muscle for jaw slimming procedure. In theory, it can be used to reduce the bulk of other muscles in face, but it might be tricky specially with smaller muscles. I highly recommend that you do a consultation with a physician highly experienced in facial muscles and Botox injections. Just keep in mind that if your facial exercise resulted in unwanted increased bulk of muscles, the bulky muscles can go back to their baseline if you stop those specific exercises (and with some patience). It might be preferred over rushing to do Botox or other treatments. I hope it helps and good luck!
