How long do hyaluronic acid fillers in the hips last?

I’m not a candidate for Brazilian Butt Lifts because of my medical history. I got Sculptra hip fillers in July - it’s November now and, there’s been no growth in my hip dips like they promise. (If you're thinking about Sculptra BBL save your MONEY!). There is a licensed specialist in my area who performs Non-Surgical BBL w/dermal fillers (Hyaluronic Acid). I’m very interested in this procedure for my hip dips. How long does it usually last?

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers for Braziliian Butt Lift

Hi and thank you for your question! There are many different types of Hyaluronic acid fillers with varying longevity ranging from several months to 2 years so the answer of your question really depends on the type of HA filler you choose. This being said, I am somewhat surprised that you did not see good results from Sculptra as it is generally the preferred filler for buttocks. If I may ask, did you follow the recommended dose and number of treatments (since most patients need several vials of Sculptra over a couple of sessions for best results)? Also, since Sculptra is a stimulatory filler that needs a couple of months to work and it works gradually, it might be difficult to spot the improvements unless you do a picture comparison from the baseline and several months later. Hopefully, if you compare the pictures you will be able to see the differences (if any). I hope it helps and good luck!
