I had lip injections 24 hours ago. I iced 20 on 20 off. I woke up and look like a freak of nature? The top is huge? Help

Significant Swelling after Lip Injection

  Hi and thank you for your question and sorry to hear about the swelling. Swelling and bruising following filler injection are very common and not a cause for concern on their own. In my experience, it's more a matter of preparing the patients and giving them heads-up of the possibility of swelling and bruising before doing the treatment. This being said, I still do get calls from scared patients in the days following filler injection form time to time. All swelling and bruising should gradually get better, but please keep monitoring the progress and make sure to contact your doctor if you see new signs or symptoms or worsening of existing swelling or bruising which could indicate complications in need of immediate follow up. If all goes well, the bruising and swelling should be significantly less in a few days and completely resolved with 2 weeks. By that time if you are still having concerns with the aesthetic results, it would be a good idea to do a follow up with your doctor to re-evaluation and revision if needed.
