I Have Deep Forehead Wrinkles But Do Not Want Botox Because I Have Severe Nervous System Issues.I Got Shingles 2.5 Years Ago & It Wreaked Havocon My Body and Nervous System.I Have Pain Still Almost Daily in Neck, Spine, Chest.I Have Never Gotten Fillersor Botox But I Did Use Murad Youth RetinolSerum Which is aTopical Cream on My Forehead and This Flared Up AllMy Shingles and Neuralgia Symptomsand Gave Me anExcruciating Headache.So Obviously I Am Concerned Fillers Could Have a Much Worse Outcome

Shingles Flare-up after Belotero

Hi and thank you for your question! In theory any stress such as trauma to skin can result in Shingles flare up, so this might happen following filler injection as well. You might want to discuss this possibility with your physician and see if prophylaxis with acyclovir or Valtrex is indicated before filler injection. I hope it helps and good luck!
