Is having this procedure done with a laser safe to reduce cellulite on my buttocks and thighs if I have had hip replacements? How long lasting are these treatments and how many treatments does one generally have?
Hi and thank you for your question! Unless I overlooked it, I didn't see the exact treatment you are considering for cellulite, so it is hard to tell, but in general, non-surgical energy-based treatments for cellulite focus on the skin and the underlying fat, specially when a laser is used. on the other hand, if for example you want to do radiofrequency treatments (e.g. Venus Freeze), having metal implants in the tissues underneath can be a problem and those treatments should be avoided. In general all FDA-approved (or more precisely, FDA-cleared) treatment have very detailed list of contraindications that can guide you if you can do the treatment or not. I hope it helps and good luck!
