I'm considering Kybella. I asked the office in Beverly Hills where just I got a major cosmetic procedure done if they offered it & they seemed to be so negative about how it causes so much swelling and they did not offer it. I asked the same thing at the local place where I get my basic dermafillers etc. which is also a high end place near LA & they sort of said the same thing. If Kybella is one of the latest & newest treatments for the chin, why do they seem so negative about it?
Thank you for asking your question! I have performed several Kybella injections since it came to market and I absolutely love the results. It is a really easy and quick procedure which almost always works. The main catch is to map the double chin area carefully to make sure that it is not injected in the adjacent areas.
The swelling after Kybella injection in the majority of cases is mild to moderate and it is easy to deal with. Infrequently it can cause severe swelling, however none of my patients have been regretful to have it done and they always believed that it was worth the result. In addition, one of the advantages of Kybella to liposuction is that it also causes some skin tightening on top of permanent fat reduction. Overall, Kybella is a great treatment, but of course you need to do the consultation with an experienced physician first to make sure it is right for you. Hope it helps and
thanks!
