My eye bags around trough are quite dark. Curious what my options/recommended steps to fix or minimize this?
A patient asked 7 years ago I constantly appear tired and look like I haven't slept even if I had a full nights rest. Another question I have is which kind of doctor (which specialization) would be the best to visit for possible treatments. Skin doctor, plastic surgeon, etc. Thank you!

Hi and thanks for your question! Based on the picture it is hard to tell what part of the issue is related to actual skin color/darkness and what part is the shadow created by the hollowness under the eyes. In latter case, you can try filler injection to restore volume and smooth out the hollowness, but this won't help if the culprit is the skin color. That could be related to other issues such as allergies and dilated blood vessels, etc and treatments with lasers could be considered. I don't think there is a surgical solution for this particular issue, so your primary focus should be on skin and cosmetic doctors.
