My lips are offcentered – Botox or Juvederm?

Cosmetic Treatments QuestionsCategory: Botox for Gummy SmileMy lips are offcentered – Botox or Juvederm?
A patient asked 6 years ago
When I am not smiling my upper lip seems offcenter, my left side of my upper lip seems almost short and not quite full enough. What would be more beneficial to correct this offcenteredness and my slightly gummy smile: Botox for my upper lip muscles to not pull so much, or Juvederm to plump my upper lip more so it covers my gums and balanced out?

Botox or Juvederm for Lip Asymmetry

Hi and thank you for your question! No face is 100% symmetrical and this is a very normal and natural feature of our look, but it can often be adjusted when bothering the patient. While some Botox injection might help with the corner of mouths, the main treatment for lip asymmetry is hyaluronic acid filler (such as Juvederm) injection. I hope it helps and goo luck!
