Hi and thank you for your question! In general we do not expect to see new issues related to Botox emerging this late after the injection and it's highly doubtful that what you are experiencing now is due to Botox although it is not totally impossible. Since most of the muscles in our body and face work in groups that counter-balance each other, it is possible that Botox effect is wears off in some muscles while it's still relatively strong in the counter-acting muscles and this could potentially cause strange results which are fortunately temporary and quickly balanced. However, this is very rare and the swelling you see is most likely unrelated to Botox and the ptosis can also be caused by the swelling but to make sure, please do a follow up with your physician. I hope it helps and good luck!
