Breast lift w/ implants done March 2017. I thought scars would lighten in about a year? The scar is very flat you can barely feel it but it’s been over a year and they’re still pretty dark. Is there anything I can put to lighten them up? Hydroquinone? Or is this the lightest they’ll be? Would a scar revision be my best option?
Hi and thank you for your question! Based on your description it seems that you are mostly concerned with the discoloration and if that's the case, topical hydroquinone creams seems to be a good option to try. You can also look into laser treatments. Again, if the scar is the primary issue, Fractional CO2 laser can help, but CO2 laser does little for the pigmentation and other lasers targeting the pigments (Erbium or picosecond lasers) can be considered. I hope it helps and good luck!
