I had major volume loss in my face from weight loss and attempted to resolve it with Voluma (3 vials on each side) and some Juvederm Ultra for the lower face. However, the dynamic wrinkles are awful and are now causing lines to be visable on my lower cheeks when I'm not smiling. And, the downward lines at the corners of my mouth have worsened with the Juvederm (2 weeks ago). What else can I use to lift and pull back these areas and where should it be injected? Will jawline or near ears help?
Recommended Tretament for lower face wrinkles and sagginesss
Dear Ashton, Thank you for sharing your wonderful question! As a person looses volume mainly in the mid face, the skin starts to deflate and sag down. So to reverse and improve the appearance of the lines that you are concerned about, my initial approach would be to lift up the saggy lower face by restoring the volume in the cheek area. I commonly use Juvederm Voluma for this purpose in the cheeks area. Following that if there is still some dent or emptiness in the lower face area, I usually put some Juvederm Ultra with micro-cannula in a "fanning" pattern right underneath that for a more uniform spread. The final result is usually very natural-looking and patients love it. I hope this helps. Make sure to find a physician who is experienced in whole-face antiaging approaches and good luck!
