People have told me that my resting face is not very approachable and that I always look upset. I've noticed that when I have on my resting face and am not smiling, the corners of my lips turn downwards and I believe that is what is causing me to look upset. Correct? I also feel like my mouth and smile is uneven. When I smile, one side lifts up more than the other. What can I do to fix this problem? I also will include a picture of a model who has lips I really enjoy. Did she get her lips done?

Procedures to Fix Lips and Cornenr of Mouth

Hi and thank you for posting your question and pictures! You do have beautiful lips. No face is 100% symmetrical and this is just part of our natural individual look and beauty. Also, the shape of the lips are only part of our look and if you are concerned with looking upset, it would be best to have a whole-face approach and see if there are other issues that might be sending wrong message (e.g. frown lines). Small amounts of fillers can be injected carefully into your lips to correct the asymmetries if they bother you. Botox can also be used to adjust corners of mouth. It is important to work with an experienced physician with great skills and artistic eye to achieve a balanced natural look. I hope it helps and good luck!
