Initially, Before leaving the clinic they didn't look too swollen. As the day went on, my top lip blew up and looked almost like a ducks beak. It's now been five days, and while I do think it's gone down a small bit, my top lip still protrudes over the bottom one. It also still feels quite stiff in the middle where it's sticking out. As you can see in the photo, the top lip is quite dramatically protruded. Is this how it's going to stay?

Lip Filler & Swelling

Hi and thank you for your question! Swelling following filler injection in lip is common, and it might not be prominent right away. In fact for many patients, they might see even more swelling on the second day following filler injection. All the swelling is expected to gradually resolved and it should be completely gone within two weeks. Please do a follow up with your physician if you had any other concerns or other symptoms. I hope it helps and good luck!
